Salaire net: entre 1900 et 2200 euros, suivant anciennete

Ingenieur de recherche en developpement d'applications scientifiques.

Objectif du projet : presider/participer a la conception, au developpement, a la documentation, au deploiement et au support d'outils logiciels de traitement et d'analyse automatisee d'images astronomiques.

Connaissances et competences necessaires:

 Bonne maitrise des concepts de base en astronomie, en traitement du signal ou des images, et en statistique indispensable.

 Experience en imagerie astronomique: un avantage

 Connaissance des techniques d'apprentissage automatique: un avantage

 Maitrise du langage C ou C++ indispensable.

 Bonne pratique du developpement en environnement Unix.

 Connaissance des techniques de parallelisation POSIX threads, OpenMP ou MPI: un avantage

 Pratique de la realisation de paquetages logiciels portables: un avantage

 Gout pour le travail en equipe et sens de l'organisation imperatifs

Contexte de travail:

La personne travaillera au sein de l'equipe Terapix (terapix.iap.fr) localisee a l'Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris (Paris XIV). Les taches du centre Terapix sont decrites sur la page presentation de terapix.

Career profile:

Application software engineer

Location: IAP, TERAPIX data processing centre

Net salary: between 1900 and 2200 euros

Primary tasks:

Software development (conception, specifications, design, coding, tests, validation). Leading the design, the development, the documentation,the installation and support of automated image processing software.

Required skills:

 Good knowledge of basic concepts in astronomy, in image and signal processing and statistics.

 Good experience in astronomical image processing is an advantage

 Knowledge of machine learning, artificial neural network and cellular automata is an advantage

 Knowledge of one or several UNIX-based operating systems

 Competence in C and/or C++ development languages

 Software documentation for developers and end-users

 Knowledge of portable software packaging is an advantage.

 Knowledge of distributed and parallel computing methods POSIX threads, OpenMP ou MPI is an advantage

 Good command of technical English

 Aptitude for team work
