Actions decided during the June 03, 2009 (short)-Terameeting

T0006: QFITS and relevant actions on Terapix nodes

 Fred: mix21/22/23/24/25 will be removed from Condor list until the pb with CFITSIO has been fixed on these nodes.

 Fred: will increase the number of permitted simultaneous ftp-connections on fcix5 (current value=300). This should fix the failures experienced today with YOUPI during the QFITSing of W4 images.

 Fred: will open the remaining Gbits port available on fcix5. This should increase the transfer rate capability by a factor of about 3 with respect to its current performance.

 Mathias M. because the first W4 QFITS-in ran today used mix21-25, it is safer to stop, remove everything and then re-start. Mathias M. and Greg clean up the DB, change the QFIT-inNICE in order to only keep 2 slots per node in QFITS-in and restart the 239 QFITS-in on W4.

 Yuliana: will send tomorrow Yannick' grades of recent W4 images to Mathias in order to incorporate them in the new W4 YOUPI/QFITS-in DB.

 Yannick: will grade the QFITS-in, after Mathias M. send him green light.

 Mathias S.: prepare and run QFITS-in on the 163 missing W2, using the file list done by Yuliana.

Condor job preemption

 Fred and Patrick: will remove the job preemption option. It will no longer be possible to Condor to kill on going Condor process and supersede them by newly submitted jobs.
