Terameeting for August 12th 2005 Present: Chiara, Yannick, Fred, Henry, Jean-Christophe, Mireille

Status of T0002

-  1. Pre-wide stacks contain some images which date from BEFORE 1 juin 2003. These stacks should be removed from CADC: there are around 20 images. Fred, Jean-Christophe and Laurent should meet next week to remove these images.

-  2. Some questions from Hervé about the tables on the TERAPIX pages: it seemed to Hervé that there were some images classed as 'C' which were released to CADC: in fact, these images were NOT released to CADC: the tables on the web pages were not clear. The confusion comes from the fact that Hervé looked at the Release T0002 - Wide page instead of the T0002 : Wide and Deep summary page.

ACTION: it should be *made clear* to which the image tables refer to (by including the final grade in the Release T0002 - Wide page, for example).

-  3. In the final tables we need to add

  • the total exposure time
  • the completeness for the images
  • mean seeing for the images
  • number of files We will add this by hand for T0002. Action done by Yannick. It should be generated automatically for the T0003.

-  4. There is also the problem that one pre-survey images are actually in the wrong part of the sky, we don't know what this comes from. This image should also be removed from the archive and CADC repository.

WIRCAM: Chiara

-  Chiara has some test images from WIRCAM, but there is a lot of stuff which is missing in the header. Some important points to consider:
-  One big problem (perhaps) is that the WIRCAM data is 'microscanned'
-  Will the WIRCAM data conform to the MEGACAM standard?
-  Will the WIRCAM data be processed by Elixir?
-  Will the data from WIRCAM contain a data cube of microscanned data?
-  At CFHT Loic Albert is in charge of data reduction and this is the person that Chiara will interact with to find the answers to these questions.
-  Chiara has been able to run QualityFITS on some WIRCAM images by manually adding the missing WCS header information.

T0003

-  16,600 CFHTLS images have now been downloaded from CADC. There are around 3000 PI images. We will eliminate certain images (type AQ/BQ) which are images of standard star fields (there is probably more than 1000 images). Q98 and Q99 should be preserved in the T0003 released since Q98 are short exposure photometric data of non-photometric wide pointings and Q99 are astrometric fields.
-  Next week Laurent will be making tests: we should be sure that everything works before Jean-Christophe leaves for vacation.
-  The local version of the USNO-B hosted on dbterapix seems to be working.
-  New Qfits not released yet by Fred. Should be done next week.
-  No automatic distribution of data across nodes to minimise processing time: this will be done for T0003.

Hardware: (Fred)

-  Stockage 8.8T on raid-5 for Laurent and JC
-  Cosmix3 has arrived 4-core avec 1.1Tb for CFHTLS
-  tranfer from clix1->clix2 still to be made: Fred
-  Cosmix4 not arrived yet.
-  mix6 has been ordered, but not arrived yet.
-  Gigabyte switch replaced
-  Herve Aussel will be at TERAPIX from the 15 Aout.

PI data: Data from the following PIs will be processed soon at TERAPIX
-  Tully
-  Sanders
-  Loic Albert
-  Seymour.
