Teraminutes for meeting of Friday, 5th of March 2004

Present: Mireille, Anthony, Emmanuel, Gilles, Jean-Christophe, Laurent. Absent: Fred: Brazil ; Gerard: Strasbourg ; Henry: Marseille

-  Data Sophie Maurogordato (Gilles, Mireille): Astrometrix carried out the 4 patchs, getRMS quality control plots are still missing. Image stacking is not optimal because no weightmaps have been used. Sophie's data will be passed through QualityFITS to generate weightmaps and image stacking will be repeated. Deadline for data delivery to Sophie: March 15.

-  SCamp (Emmanuel): analysis of numerical errors did not reveal any obvious problems. However, SCamp seems to work perfectly well with one CCD: as if problems came from a bug. Emmanuel confident.

-  Astrometrix-Photometrix-SCamp: The dead line to fix bugs in SCamp is obviously meaningless. On the other hand Laurent needs about one week to install Astrometrix-Photometrix in SPICA. Any decision is therefore unclear. It is decided that if SCamp still not working for the SPICA operation by March 15, 23:59:59, we will then install Astrometrix-Photometrix in SPICA.

-  Astrometrix: Mireille raised the point that Astrometrix on the account "pipeline" or on "hjmcc" do not alway provide the same results. Laurent thinks it is an installation problem. Need to check that all Astrometrix versions provide the same results. Emmanuel informs us that the UCAC2 astrometric catalogue is now available. Its rms error is better than USNA (0.1" instead of 0.5"). Should be used by Terapix.

-  DEfectix (Anthony): The PCA program is finished. It incldes background subtraction and the optimisation of the full dynamics of the image. The training step is now in progress, using disks in the image. Demo by Anthony expected next week. Needs a simulated images in order get image with zero defect and to build halo models.

-  SPICA (Laurent): the mode that uses arbitrary images located in any given region of the sky regardless of the RunID is now implemented. Tests are on going. PI data information on the web interface will be password protected using speicial PI account. The release date of stacked images according to the date of the last image acquisition is now implemented. Automake and Auto- conf packaging still in progress.

-  Data transfer (Jean-Christophe): runIDs are now ordered alphabetically. 2003B masterfiles still missing. One 2003A master file missing. fc1 disk: continuing requests from Henry, Yannick and others prevent Jean-Christophe from removing data on fc1 since his own DB must be updated frequently. In order to make space of fc1, all FITS header will be permanently stored and compressed on fc1/fc2. Jean-Christophe will then be able to update the DB at any time.

Tranfer of D3, D4 and W4 to CADC: non-standard headers produced by Henry on some images obliged Jean-Christophe to make changes by hand. Not acceptable. It is recommended to only use Opteron for data that will not be tranferred to CADC.

Confusion on the seeing definition used by Mireille, Fred and Henry. Need to clarify this. Default will be SExctraoctor 2*r_h(0.5).

-  SkyWatcher (Jean-Christophe): The configure file is under developement. Sky projection ok. Jean-Christophe will use Emmanuel's cplot.c to place Megacam images on the sky map.

-  Data : Jerome Bouvier's Megacam data should arrive soon at Terapix. Mireille will process these data.

-  Next meeting: Friday March 12, 14:30.
