Teraminutes for the meeting of Friday, Dec. 10 2004

Disks: all disks empty, residuals only in Emmanuel's directory. Will be removed soon. All pix's, mix2/mix3 ready to ingest new pixels.

Data-transfer:

 Jean-Christophe continues to ingest new data from CADC. The limitng date for the transfer from fc disks to cluster disks is Oct. 22, 2004. Laurent has already filled mix2 and mix3 disks.

Preparing Spica: TOP PRIORITY

 1. First Dbterapix must be empty. Gerard should first make deletix ready after fixing last bugs detected by Laurent. Action done during the meeting.

 2. Before running Qfits, Emmanuel must fix few bugs, in particular the "e" -> "E" problem that detected FITSverify. It concerns Weightwatcher, SCamp, PSFex, SWarp.

 SPICA and Qfits will also use a new version of SExtractor that includes MAG_PETRO and better positions (XWIN_IMAG, YWIN_IMAG). These options and parameters will be added to SPICA and QFITS configuration files.

 Emmanuel cannot handle yet simultaneously 32 and 64-bit releases. He will use Kiravix to get the 32-bits version ready asap. Expected: tonight.

 Emmanuel reported a bug found in SWarp, when the CHI2 image is generated using the MEDIAN option. This bug is fixed for the next SWarp release.

 3. QFITS: not ready yet for mix2/mix3 nodes. Once QFITS ready and all data on disks, Mireille and Yannick will check and grade the new images ( 2000 images).

SPICA:

 Laurent is working on the implementation of (RA,DEC)-fixed stack position for T0002. 90% complete. Nothing done yet to handle CHI2-image and color-color plots.

Deletix/DBTerapix:

 Gerard fixed a bug during the meeting and cleaned the base. Still working on the panier that should provide several cleaning option. Laurent need urgently a cleaning interface that allows users to clean the base per node and per release. This facility is Gerard's top priority now.

Skywatcher:

 Jean-Christophe can handle VO-Tables. In principle Skywatcher is ready to handle the T0002 survey follow up. Mireille will test Skywatcher next week during her stay at IAP.

 Jean-Christophe still has problems in handling width of PLPLOT PNG-figures. No clear conclusion raised from this discussion.

 Emmanuel and Fred suggest Jean-Christophe to use the patched 5.3.0 version Fred installed for QFITS on mix and pix nodes.

ICD: Jean-Christophe working on it.

PI-data: last PI data processed and put on ftp. 03BC03 Swarp configuration file need a modification: change mesh size from 256 to 32. Action done immediately after the meeting.

Backup and Archive: Gilles will backup all MAPIX disks and the bay will be removed from the TERAPIX network.

 Gilles and Fred will archive the T0001 full release "releaseCADC_20041105" with UBS disk device whihc is located on mix1:raid2/ and pix10 (176GB).

 Gilles will then backup FTP-terapix which is on mix1:raid1 (750GB).

Mix4: no solution found yet.

 Depressing and critical since we face on a difficult disk space problem and we leave the non-SPICA Terapix network with only mix1 which is unstable and additional disks on pix10 which is also unstable (new problem tonight). Option must be contacted next week; mix4 is a top priority.
