Summary last SG meeting:: (Yannick)
- Yannick summarized the last Steering Group meeting held on August 28 and 29 (Video conf Besancon-Toulouse-Paris-Toronto-Victoria-Hawaii). The most important items are given in Yannick's email (date: August 30, 2006) . Another SG meeting is scheduled by the end of September in order to decide when z-band calibration masterfiles will be avaialble and if Terapix can proceed immediately with these data.
T0003 release (All)
- Only Deep and Wide data will be part of T0003. The Very Wide will be released by February, once the new SCAMP version will be released.
- Still missing: the T0003 web page, explanatory table, the effective area of wide fields , explanatory documents, links with the SDSS photometric comparison done the Mathias, the masks location. Mathias and Yannick will fix all final steps by the end of next week.
- All fits Deep+Wide stacks will be sent to CCPN and then removed from Terapix disks. All VW images (*V0003*) will be preserved until they are released at CADC. All Deep+Wide meta-data will be left on Terapix disks for Laurent and the DB.
T0004 preparation (All)
- Prior to start T0004, several issues must be addressed: pending technical problems on the cluster, pending software problems, disks space for input/output images. These issues correspond to tasks that must now be considered as priorities. The goal is to have everything ready in order to start QFITs-in for T0004 by September 19.
- Data transfer from CADC to terapix of all CFHTLS images that will be part of T0004 can start immediately. It will be done using the current SNOOPPIX tool, handled by Laurent.
- All data installed on the fc3/fc4 bay will be copied elsewhere and the bay will be sent back for reparation. Expected timescale: one month. Tasks for Fred.
- Laurent will run test-SPICA on the cluster in order to check whether the copy process to the output bay fails, as detected several months ago. It is not yet clear what is the problem and whether it still exists.
- We agreed the copy will still be done using "scp" (the "rcp" problem is not yet fixed).
- We must have the full replication of mix8 done prior to run T0004. This is a 4-step process: (0) run SPICA on mix8 and check everything works well (Laurent will start today, end on Tuesday 5) ; (1) replication of mix8 onto all Opteron of the cluster (deadline Sept. 8); (2) replication of mix8 onto mix7 (deadline Sept. 11) ; (3) installation on clix (deadline Sept. 12). Need also to check the ALTLAS Lib. V.3.7.15 and the links on mix9 and other nodes. Tasks 1-3 and ATLAS Lib. are for Fred.
- We will process the Willot's request (all W1-u bands) after all previous tasks done, so it is posponed to Sept. 12.
- The new QFITS-in must be ready to work by September 14. It will be the merged Fred/Chiara versions (in principle the current SVN version installed by Chiara) and will have the 5 sub-image full res. and the updated z-counts installed. The documentatation should be avaialble also. Fred is in charge of this.
- In the meantime, Emmanuel expect to fix the bug in SExtractor found by P. Astier on the image background analysis. Dead line is September 18.
- UPS : too much time lost, we move to the SNMP board option. Fred will order 4 and will install them immediately. Dead line for final installation Sept. 11.
Misc. and dotproject : (All)
Fred will copy the SMART disk monitoring tool, initially installed on clix2, on clix.
Chiara is currently working on WIRCam data for de Breuck/Omont. J. Bouvier posponed to October, still waiting for Loic Albert's pre-processed data prior to run Terapix-WIRCam tools on McHardy' data.
Mix2 bay: must be cleaned by sept. 8.
L02/L05: QFITS-in done, data graded. Once all SPICA done, the data will be copied for PI usage

Mireille and Laurent set Megacam PI summary table. Chiara did the same for WIRCam and will homogenise and put both on the Web.

Powerpoint presentation 2005 CFHTLS meeting on the web: Yannick's task, not done yet.

SCAMP: all activities posponed until October.
