Teraminutes of December 21st 2006

Emmanuel's summary document

Migration of the machines
 all the machines have been migrated except mix3, mix4 and mix7
 the migration will be finished today. Err tonight.

Problems with ftpix and the T03 table
 Laurent's php scripts can't access the database at the moment: for example on the spica page, all the links for spica processing do not work any more
 ftpix has been migrated, but the links in the table don't exist any more.
 many links are missing (SCAMP, SWarp).
 unfortunately the summary table t03 doesn't work any more; could there be files missing now? (Laurent fixed some links during the meeting)
 mix8 was replicated on all the systems and that means that /usr/local/spica on this machine was replicated everywhere.
 recent changes in /etc/ and /var were also lost, including system configuration files which were replaced by default values.
 Yannick insists that the T03 should work before the weekend

T04
 Laurent has left a 'cookbook' of things still to do for t04
 Have to make a verification of the images
 We also need laurent to make the transfer of images; so we can't really start on t04.
 Yannick reminds Fred that others depends on his work, and that he try to communicate more with those that depend on him.

PI megacam data
 06AF26 (soucail); yannick and Mireille has found an offset in the final data after stacking; probably not an important for the PI but Emmanuel will investigate.
 Emmanuel and Mireille have been working on scamp on the PI data from Annie Robin. The observed behaviour of SCAMP does not seem unexpected after verification.
 Measuring proper motions: For this task it would really be better if Mathias could come to Paris at the start of January; Emmanuel is quite keen on this solution.

Problems with machines
 The PSU in chiara's PC was changed after the old one was destroyed by a defective case fan; need to buy a new fan.
 Chiara is processing on the /raid2 on mix1 which is currently degraded.
 Is there an easy way to fix this? try to replace the faulty drive with a new one?
 QFsubimage bug fixed; but QF not reinstalled on the machine

SPICA
 GRB data processed by QF; still stacking to make.
 The latest versions of MissFits and WeightWatcher need to be installed on the cluster.

Jobs
 The TERAPIX job offer was put on the AAS but the deadline was the 15th December, so the job will not appear before January 15.

WIRCAM
 Preprocessing the data McHARDY is almost finished
 Still no answer from Herve Aussel. Chiara will ask him once more when she is back.
 Bouvier and friends were not too happy with their images because the sky subtraction in SWarp is difficult on images with a lot of nebulosity. Possibly invite Laurent Cambresy from Strasbourg to work on this problem.
 The Y-band calibration has not been finished.
 The processing of WIRCAM data at CFHT is proceeding slowly, and pressure is put on TERAPIX which must redo part of CFHT's work; the board has been notified.
 In general it takes about one month to process one QRUNid;
 In total there is around twice as much WIRCAM data to process than had been orginally thought;
