Tera-minutes of the August 17 2006 meeting

A Short tera-meeting focussed on current progress of dotproject tasks after the INTRANET cleaning session.

 Emmanuel proposes we buy USB-keys for personnal backups. A short visit to web sites show it would cost 80 euros per 4GB USB-key. Prices may vary according to the data transfer speed. Reasonnable estimate is 20 MB/sec, acceptable could be 5 MB/sec. Need to look into more detail but seems conceivable.

 Fred will copy the SMART disk monitoring tool, initially installed on clix2, on clix.

 We agreed the Terapix site will be opened until tomorrow 7:00 am, then shut down for the 3-day period.

 Henry removed his remaining files on mix5. This node is now clean and left for SPICA only. Mix2 about to, still some Dennefeld data that Emmanuel will remove soon.

 Fred will update the cosmix user list

 Chiara is currently working on WIRCam data for de Breuck/Omont, need request from J. Bouvier prior to work on these data, still waiting for Loic Albert's pre-processed data prior to run Terapix-WIRCam tools on Mc Carthy' data.

 W1 u-band for willot: pending, we need Laurent to make progress

 L02/L05 past Sept. 5, 2005 data: pending, we need Laurent to make progress

 Backup at free: Gerard Tissier sent the pwd, ask Fred to get it and transfer to terapix.org.

 Cluster software/lib updated by Fred and put on the web. Last problems on mix9 software fixed by Chiara, Emmanuel and Fred. Replication of mix8 onto the cluster will be done once Laurent is back.

 The INTRANET cleaning finished today. Please keep the pages updated and the pages you have in charge cleaned!

 SPIP-1.9: nothing done

 QFITS: Chiara will put her version on SVN, the rest (documentation, 5 full res. control sub-images) posponed to Sept. 15. Running z-counts on all QFITS-in/out not done yet.

 W4 target list: Yannick's task, not done yet.

 Power point proesentation 2005 CGTLS meeting on the web: Yannick's task, not done yet.

 SExtractor: simultaneous ASCII+Binary files , Emmanuel's taklk from Laurent request, not done yet. pending bug on background subtraction on giant image not fixed yet.

 SCAMP: all activities posponed until October.

 Skywatcher: Yannick has to contact JC, nothing done so far.

 QFITS web service: request for input from Anthony about this facily durin his test at the NEON school.

 PI data: Cowie' data with wrong FITS header, likely CADC link to *p.fits images wrong. Only *o.fits images available. Fred will contact CADC. B. Tully' data: nothing happened, Brent likely in vacations, did not yet ftp the data. Annie Robin' data: waiting for SCAMP.

 T0003 documentation: Yannick's task, in progress.

 W3 advisory: Henry's task, nothing done yet.

 EYE retina: pending.

 Poster: comments from Jean-Charles (request from C. Veillet to Yannick in order to check the poster and the comments). Jean Mouette will meet Poinot next Monday.

 USNO-B1 local catalogue: tests to be done by Emmanuel. Nothing done so far.
