Minutes for the terameeting of November 26th, 2008

WIRCam:

WIRDS: to run the whole sky-subtraction+cross-talk+donuts process, Henry and Patrick need more than 5TB of disk space. They will use mix21, likely for at least one week. Everyone has been asked to remove all data they have on /data/mix21/raid (except Mathias Monnerville): Yannick will remove NVGS, CFHTLS T0005 and CFHTLS T0006 data (DONE), Fred will remove cosmix5 data (DONE). To everyone: please leave mix21 free during the next 10 days).

WUDS: Henry will contact Loic about cross talk corrections in WUDS data.

Cluster

Fred received good news about mix3: mix3 motherboard seems available and also new CPUs available. If this is confirmed, mix3 may then be back next week or the week after...

New nodes: likely available within the next 2 weeks.

The "cosmix nsf problem" has been fixed by Fred: it was produced by Martin Kilbinger who had a process running on cosmix2 since September 28. Fred killed the process.. and that fixed the nsf problem on cosmix.

Fred will upgrade Condor over the coming week.

QFITS

 PSFex: two pendindg issues:

1. problem with the PLPLOT library used by PSFex in QFITS.

2. problem with new PFSex Keywords that are not understood by the QFITS-PSFex command line.

 Getting QFITS in the YOUPI package: QFITS uses a patched version of PLPLOT and of CFITSIO. We have to figure out how this should be handled in the YOUPI package.

YOUPI and Condor

 Similar problem as QFITS with condor_transfer.pl : this package needs specific tools like proftpd.
