Minutes for the terameeting of October 2nd, 2008

MEGACAM operations

 Mathias will extend his aperture magnitude checks to the other Wide fields (deadline: Oct 7). He confirms that SDSS photometry is also done in apertures.
 Yannick and Mathias will check if magnitude offsets and image seeings are correlated (deadline: Oct 7).
 The 400 "new" CFHTLS wide images have been graded and the grading sent to Jean-Charles.
 Greg, Mathias M. and Yannick will meet on Oct 8 to discuss database requests in spherical coordinates.

WIRCAM operations

 The remaining problems on the cross-talk correction script have been ironed out. Checks will now be made on stacks to see if things improve.
 Henry Joy will comment on the Wircam report to be sent to Mr Rizzi before Oct. 3.
 Henry Joy will e-mail Loic once again (with a copy to Stephane) to urge him reprocess COSMOS H data (Update: mail sent).

Software developments
 Emmanuel will provide Greg with some images at the pole or right on the meridian alpha=0. Deadline: Oct 3.

Hardware
 Fred announces that AMD processors will be replaced with B3 steppings by the end of October.
 Yannick details in an e-mail what will probably be the next hardware purchases this fall: - 1 "fcix*" machine, 72 TB RAID6, 8GB RAM - 2 mix15-like machines : 16GB RAM, 1x5TB RAID - 1 mix12-like machine: 32GB RAM, 2x5TB RAID
