Minutes for the terameeting of April 23rd, 2008
Present: Yannick, Patrick, Gregory, Henry Joy, Mathias M., Mathias S., Emmanuel.
Emmanuel's summary document
Fred's hardware update
MEGACAM operations
Yannick needs to know what files contribute to stacks with a large photometric offset. Mathias will send the list to Yannick before Apr 25.
Mathias will ask Jean-Charles about the stability of the zero-points derived during photometric nights (deadline Apr 28).
Yannick will wait for the job outcome monitoring process to work before using the Spica2 interface to start QualityFITS.
QualityFITS will be run a second time with cosmic-ray detection turned off on images with the very best seeings.
WIRCAM operations
Yannick says that the IR dithering pattern is the PI's responsability.
Spica2 developments
Greg/Mathias M. will send to Emmanuel the list of numerical db fields and Emmanuel will send in return his suggestions for the most appropriate printf()-like display format (deadline Apr 28).
The monitoring of job outcomes is an important issue. Several options are reviewed: control daemon, cronjob, or a wrapper that monitors each task right from the computing node. Mathias M. seems to favour the latter. A deadline is set for May 7.
Patrick would like to be able to select .reg files in the same way as flats or masks from the Spica2 interface (provisional deadline: Apr 25).
Greg and Mathias M. will define a consistent table display scheme that will be used throughout the Spica2 interface.
Mathias M. will add support for '*' wildcards in addition to the '%' (deadline: Apr 25).
Mathias M. and Greg will add a processing software version monitoring feature to the Spica2 interface (provisional deadline: May 30th)
System/Hardware
Emmanuel and Mathias M. will discuss with Carlos or Georges about the teralist exploder (deadline: Apr 28).
Next terameeting: Monday April 28th, 10:00 in room 281.
