Minutes for the terameeting of April 28th, 2008
Present: Yannick, Patrick, Gregory, Henry Joy, Mathias M., Mathias S., Emmanuel, Fred (partly).
Emmanuel's summary document
Henry Joy's late summary
MEGACAM operations
Mathias will send to Yannick the list of the T04 W4 fields that contribute to the stacks with the largest photometric offsets wrt the SDSS (deadline: May 5th).
The full list of all T05 Deep, Wide and Very Wide fields has been pre-ingested.
It is decided that support for .ahead files during ingestion is postponed after T05.
This means that Mathias' photctool.py will have to be run after all ingestions to update the zero-points stored in the database.
Mathias will describe how the new photometric calibration is done at CFHT now (deadline: May 19th)
Yannick will select storage areas for T05 data on the cluster and cleanup existing data duplicates (deadline: May 16th).
WIRCAM operations
Yannick will check in his e-mails if John Hutchings or Pierre Chayer have sent access information to the DADS release in 2007. It may well be that they never did, although Chiara notified John Hutchings (among other PIs) that she needed this information on October 25th.
Patrick and Yannick will update the MEGACAM and Wircam PI status tables on the web site (deadline: May 5th 2008).
Patrick will update and clean up the WIRCAM dotproject section (deadline May 19th ).
Roser has randomised her pointing coordinates, which will help checking whether the dark bands come from cross-talk or remanence.
Developments
Mathias M. will add an explicit admin account to Spica2 (deadline: May 5th).
Fred should add a checksum (MD5) in QualityFITS' XML output (deadline: May 16th).
Fred will add a -v or --version option to condor_transfert.pl (deadline: May 5th)
Mathias and Greg will send a full list of DB fields to Emmanuel who will provide comments and display format (deadline: Apr 30).
Greg will replace the curent approximation of camera geometries with the real WCS de-projection (deadline: May 12th).
Henry Joy will try to improve the current completeness limit estimates for May 26th.
Greg and Mathias M. will investigate on the storage of magnitude zero-point vectors in the db (deadline: Apr 29th).
Fred will add support for the i2 filter in QF number counts (deadline: Apr 30th).
System/hardware
The fcix machines should be excluded from the jobs started on Condor.
Yannick will produce a cookbook of cluster actions in case of trouble and reconfigure the backup/recovery section on the intranet (deadline: May 21st).
Fred will notify cosmix users of availability of cosmix5 (deadline: today).
Fred will move the Condor spool directories to one of the RAIDs (deadline: Apr 30th).
Fred will connect the 2nd UPS (deadline: Apr 30th).
Fred will fix the problem of e-mails sent to addresses outside IAP that do not reach their destination (deadline: Apr 30th).
Next terameeting: Monday May 19th, 10:00 in room 281.
