Minutes for the terameeting of July 16th 2007

Present: Yannick, Emmanuel, Chiara, Gregory, Mireille, Fred (partly), Mathias (videoconf).

Emmanuel's summary document

CFHTLS T04 processing
 Mathias will ask Nicolas Regnault about the exact colour terms. Mathias mentions that the colour equations will appear in a forthcoming SNLS paper by Regnault et al..
 Yannick has asked Henry to produce number counts from the chi2 images, however Henry did not find the time to do it before leaving for holidays.
 Yannick will add a small guide to the explanatory table describing how to separate stars and galaxies at fainter magnitudes. Deadline: Wednesday 18th.

MEGACAM PI processing
 The Atteia data have been downloaded by the PI, but not the Rouan data. Mireille sends a reminder to D. Rouan.
 Yannick indicates that requests for PI data are done systematically through the DOG mailing-list.

Spica2/T05 software developments
 Chiara will play with MySQL to check whether the proposed approach may work or not. Emmanuel thinks that one should not hesitate to create several versions of the design model in parallel if necessary, and merge them at the end.
 Gregory will put the UML diagram files on the SVN repository before Tuesday.
 Gregory will generate 10000 geometries and will test the efficiency of the following requests: what fields overlap a given field and what fields contain a given point (deadline: Wednesday).
 In the same time, Gregory will investigate how to handle spherical coordinates in MySQL.
 Fred will update the backup info on the intranet concerning the Forum database (deadline: Friday 20th).
 The backup articles will be reformatted as a complete subsection by Fred and Chiara. Deadline: Friday.
 Fred will put the input RAID Todolist (obsolete) offline.
 The filename convention proposed by Yannick is accepted with the following changes: Tpx becomes lowercase, and the nnnnnn now have 8 digits. Example: tpx00029387-744332p.fits
 Yannick reminds us that the possibility of having to rely on Spica1 for T05 must not be excluded, and that care must be taken not to break the current spica "legacy" architecture until then.

System/hardware
 Fred will put the SuperMongo termcap (present on mix7,9,10) on all other machines of the cluster. Chiara or Fred will update the installation page first.
 Fred has indicated once again where the enveloppe containing the root passwords is located.

WIRCAM processing
 Chiara will write to Loic and send him the configuration files so that he can perform the stack himself and tune his algorithms.

Other matters
 Emmanuel urges everyone to have a careful look at his/her dotproject tasks and try to complete/update them ASAP.
