Minutes for the terameeting of November 19th 2007

Operations

 Corrupted gz catalog archives: processed T05 and PI data will now systematically be checked before being released. A "gunzip -t" should suffice. This should implemented in PI and CFHTLS scripts. Deadline: Nov 26.
 the E(B-V) will be computed and the catalogues released today.
 Chiara will download the Deharveng data, but will not have the time to process them before she leaves.

Software development

 Sending e-mails through Condor: to be verified: a mail sent by Condor but with the "From:" tag set to an existing IAP account should go through the IAP mail filtering system.
 Observation log for PI data: after discussion with Chiara, Mireille and Mathias, a simple ASCII dump delivered together with the PI data seems to be the best solution. Gregory will see what would be the best way to store this in the database (as bulk data or as a link). Yannick will forward an example to Gregory. Deadline: Nov 26.
 Chiara mentions that care has already been taken for the binaries in the $PATH to be accessible. Chiara says she will install QualityFITS on Thurday evening if it is not there, as she wants her scripts to run when she leaves.

System/Hardware

 A "sudo" access will be requested to Mathias if it is not already the case. Update: done
 mix7 will be upgraded to match the system version to that of other machines (mix8?). Soon after a brand new install of Gentoo will be performed on the new Cosmix machine. No precise deadline has been set. However Yannick reminds us that the first test data will be sent by Jean-Charles in December, and the machines must be ready by then.
 Emmanuel will ask Olivier once again if he is done with the pix so that the machines can be switched off and removed.

Miscellaneous

 Yannick will contact Rene to have a new office lamp in office 213. Deadline: December.
