Minutes for the terameeting of March 19th 2007

Emmanuel's summary document

T04 processing
 Seeing distribution and quantiles: Henry does not confirm yet the values he gave. The quantiles must be derived field-by-field. A minimum of 3 digits should be used for making a histogram. Henry may have to use PHPMyAdmin to derive the right seeing limits. Deadline: tomorrow.
 Fred will use a full precision format for storing seeing values in the QFITS XML output file.
 The problem of ingesting background and seeing values was not caused by a QFITS bug.
 The SCAMP pb with astrometry on W1 must be fixed by Tuesday evening.
 Henry and Fred will investigate on the port saturation pb with MySQL. Deadline: tomorrow evening
 Henry will restrict the inclusion radius in SCAMP to 1.5 deg.
 The current goal for T04 is to have the Wide part well advanced by the end of April.

MEGACAM P.I.
 Mathias will send a copy of the PSF-fitting cookbook prepared by Ph. Delorme to the TERAPIX team.

Hardware/system
 Yannick is against giving out the setix (including the screen) or Merille to Laurent.
 Emmanuel and Chiara will order Emmanuel's keyboard and Chiara's computer fan.
 Fred will order the rack and also the UPS if Nicole accepts to advance more funds.
 Fred shall ask Rene Verriere about forthcoming works in the computer room.

Software development
 Although Datatransfer is likely to become unnecessary with a future pipeline, Fred will commit his corrections to Datatransfer in the SVN repository. Deadline: end of the week.
 Chiara checks that the libVOTable RPMs work and sends an e-mail to request installation on the cluster.
 Chiara proposes to create a new SPICA repository on SVN to store improvements made to SPICA. Chiara will do the import this Monday afternoon; Fred and Chiara will update it progressively. Web/reports

Management
 Concerning the future of TERAPIX team, Yannick sees two blocks: one for development, one for operations.
 Yannick reminds us that Laurent is commited to provide help about the T04 release.
 Henry shall complete a PhD proposal by the end of the week.
 Yannick will ask Laurent to update his DBTERAPIX tasks on dotproject.

WIRCAM
 In today's teleconference, Henry will ask Herve Aussel to complete his study on the relative zero-points of WIRCAM chips using large MAG_APERs and indicate a provisionary deadline.

Misc

 Mathias has done comparisons of star/galaxies classifications with SDSS spectra, which he will communicate to Henry.
