Minutes for the terameeting of February 26th 2007
Present: Chiara, Mireille, Gregory, Emmanuel, Laurent, Frederic, Mathias (video)
Emmanuel's summary document
WIRCAM
The processing of the Deharveng data should be completed by the end of the week. About the PSF-fitting: Chiara has not yet replied about it. Chiara might try to do tests later on with PSFEx and possibly comparisons with DAOphot (using colour-colour diagrams for instance).
Cuby data: the deadline for a specific part of the processing is mid-March (because of ESO deadlines).
Willott data: Chiara will re-do the same processing with a 5-sigma thresholding to mimic Loic's processing.
T04 processing
There are at least several hundreds of exposures to be graded.
According to Mireille and Emmanuel, it should be sufficient to systematically re-grade as "B" all exposures previously graded "D"; there should be no need to rerun QFITSin. Yannick will decide.
Laurent still has to implement the support for reading VOTables in SPICA. The duration for this work is estimated to be at least 6 days.
Laurent did not get any feedback from JJ about the SkyProbe. *Yannick could you check in Victoria?*.
Quality control for CFHTLS wide will require a lot of work on the human side. Laurent insists on the fact that this release is actually double (double seeing range).
Laurent worries about removing pipeline control safety due to working with heterogeneous versions of software.
MEGACAM P.I.
The responsabilities are too diluted for efficient operations on P.I. data: several days between each action. Mireille is keen on having more autonomy, but she worries about what will happen when she leaves.
The Zwart data are ready, but have not yet been downloaded.
05AF14: the situation is a bit chaotic concerning the exact number of available exposures. Mathias will check on his metadata DVD what exposures shall be available. *The procedure should be made more robust (for instance, the PI should indicate the exact number of exposures to download)*.
Machines and system
FlySpray: the version installed by Fred on terapix.iap.fr is far too old. Fred will deinstall it and Laurent will install a vanilla version with accounts for the TERAPIX people.
Hardware problems with terapix.iap.fr: Fred will check whether the SCSI card might be responsible and change it if necessary. Emmanuel suggests to add terapix.iap.fr to the pool of machines monitored in Ganglia.
Fred will update the follow-up of delivered hardware to include the new machines.
The hardware of the new fcix3 machine is fairly different from that of previous machines; Fred had to install new modules. The machine could be available by the end of the week.
Alert messages: Fred has removed fc2 from the partmon config file.
A PUMA is ongoing for the SL2S machine: a mix8 with more slots for memory modules.
PUMA for a mix9-like for Chiara: not done yet.
Rene Verriere has put some money aside to install extra power plugs for future machines.
Software development
Datatransfer is in a chaotic condition. Laurent has edited the installed version, but the source has not been fixed. Chiara will contact JC to be sure to have the latest source code before the installed version is compared to it.
Fred will put on SVN his "Snooppix 2.0".
Gregory will organise the next "prise de conscience" meeting.
Laurent will fix the bug found by Anthony.
Emmanuel will check whether the "missing CCD problem" is still there in PSFEx.
Fred has almost finished implementing the new background option. Should be ready before the end of the week.
Management
Fred will organize the first CADC-TERAPIX-CFHT video-conference.
Gregory and Chiara will set a basis for a global TERAPIX document to be filled in by the various parties, and which will comprise the description of the hardware and software and the P.I. procedure document.
