Minutes for the terameeting of November 26th 2007
Present: Yannick, Emmanuel, Gregory, Fred (partly).
Emmanuel's summary document
Operations
Yannick did not find the photometric flag in the binary logs provided by Kanoa. There is one FITS file per run, containing several binary tables. Yannick will make one of them available to the TERAPIX members.
It is not clear whether the Thompson pipeline will be able to fix WIRCam crosstalk residuals.
Yannick received a mail from Roser Pello announcing that her WUDS survey has been accepted on WIRCam (JHKs down to Ks=25). The data will start to be available by mid-2008.
Yannick will be responsible for the T05 data completeness and integrity.
Development
Gregory will add a new "checksum" field in the pipeline database and compute (and store) an MD5 checksum during ingestion (deadline: mid-December).
Fred will compute a checksum of all the QualityFITS products and store it in the QualityFITS XML output (deadline: mid-December).
Chiara has installed libVOTable on the cluster (had only been done on some machines before today).
System/hardware
Mathias Monnerville is already able to receive messages from the teralist on his IAP e-mail address, but has not been given access to his IAP account yet.
Mix7's system has actually been replaced by the one from mix6.
Emmanuel and Fred have cleaned up the dot-project user list.
Fred says that there might be a trick to change the sender's mail address in the UPS firmware. He will try to do it before the end of December.
Emmanuel has sent another reminder to Olivier to abandon the pix machines.
If no firm delivery date is not set for the Barcelona machines in early January, Fred will ask for a switch to a different, Xeon-based architecture.
Documentation and management
Emmanuel has updated the dotproject tasks during the terameeting. In short:
Yannick will take care of the various pending tasks related to hardware and system documentation: boot/shutdown/backup/recovery cookbooks, both on the web and in paper form (deadline: mid-December). He will also take care of the QualityFITS documentation, using the other TERAPIX docs as a template, and make sure it is ready by January.
Yannick prefers to leave there the SkyWatcher tasks to serve as a feature list for a similar pipeline tool.
Emmanuel will work again on SCAMP to implement the various checkplots and features listed on dotproject (deadline: end of December).
Chiara has left on dotproject a list of tasks related to WIRCam data which have been downloaded and are ready to be processed, plus two development tasks Patrick is aware of.
Next terameeting: probably next Monday 10:00 am
