Minutes for the terameeting of October 29, 2007

- Megacam (Mireille, Mathias, Yannick):

 Mathias will focus on Megacam PI processing. He will meet Mireille today, then will move to training using Soucail' data. Mathias will spend the whole week on this.

 Mathias will meet Henry about the NX-client for Besancon.

 There is a concern about the Annie Robin data Mireille processed recently. We do not see anyone in Besancon working on this and feel nothing will happen. Yannick will contact Annie to check Mireille did not lost her time, and will ask Annie to clarify who will work on these data and on the coming RunID expected by 2008.

 Mireille will contact Estelle Moreau in order to get feed back on Bouvier et al' progress on the analysis of Megacam+WIRCam data delivered by Terapix.

- WIRCam (Chiara, Henry)

 Chiara did the preliminary D3 J and K stacks and is now waiting for the missing data. Henry inspected the stacks. There are better than the previous ones, though there is still room for improvement. Chiara pointed out the masking+second pass sky subtraction have not been used in the stacks, so next stacks will be much better.

 The photometric calibration of Bouvier IC348 J-band is still puzzling. Chiara believes the problem is related to the heterogeneous image quality of WIRCam, J-images, but no clear assessment has been made, so far. Chiara is still working on this.

 We agreed IC4665 is a good training sample for WIRCam processing. Chiara, Henry and Patrick Hudelot will then use this field during Patrick's visit. If possible, they will meet with Chiara on the 6th for an introduction and then move on the training. Chiara will send her publicly released documentation to Patrick.

- Data Base T0005 (Gregory):

 Gregory and Anthony are working together on the BD Users' interface with the aim of producing something similar to Laurent's interface. We agreed to meet next Wednesday at 15:00 (anyone who is willing to attend is welcome) to better describe users' needs.

- Manpower (All):

 Open discussion about Terapix needs in processing/developments and duties of astronomers. We agreed that 2days/week of processing duties for Henry and Mathias, and Hudelot 40% operation + 60% development is a fair compromise. These numbers are sustained values over a yearly period and may change according to the improvement of the pipeline.

 During the Tera-meeting we got news about the Paris-VI IE CDI position: Mr. Mathias Monnerville seems to accept the position. He should start by Dec. 1st . We expect to meet him this week.

- Hardware (ALL):

 We urge Fred to order everything today. We are deeply concerned about the delays and its potential catastrophic impact on the fact we missed the dead line for EFIGI funds. Emmanuel contacted the person in charge of ACI in order to request an extension. Yannick warned Nicole Blondin and Laurent Vigroux. Fred is working on it now.
